The furry participants in our programs consist of dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Many are borrowed from local animal shelters, after being evaluated for suitable temperament. The animals have a wonderful time, for not only are they thoroughly spoiled during the visits, but literally hundreds have been adopted as a result. Pals For Life give these homeless pets a second chance for a life full of happiness.
Volunteers also bring their own pets on programs, once they have passed obedience and temperament tests. These pets provide continuity to the programs, as residents form lasting friendships with pets and their owners.
